Renovation of an educational facility in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The bids are for a single General Contract for the replacement of one roof section on Francis Marion Intermediate School located at 2301 3rd Avenue, Marion, Iowa 52302. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated sub-bids will not be accepted. Work is anticipated to commence on or before the 3rd day of July, 2023 and the project shall be substantially complete (i.e., all demolition and new roof membrane system installation 100-percent complete; sheet metal can be incomplete), on or before the 18th day of August, 2023. A In order to be opened and considered, all bids shall include bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310 - Bid Bond. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum
