The City is soliciting bids for the installation of fiber optic cable and conduits for their Broadband Utility within a portion of the City of Sherwood and unincorporated Washington County, Clackamas County, City of Wilsonville, & King City. This construction will consist of 2 sections. Construction of Backbone Fiber Construction as designed and permitted. As described below, this will be a prevailing wage project. Special note: The fiber placed within the city of Wilsonville, will be a shared fiber asset with the city of Sherwood and the city of Wilsonville. The City of Sherwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted, or to waive any minor formalities of this request if, in the judgment of the City Manager, the best interest of the City would be served (ORS 279B.100). The work to be performed under this contract consists of the construction of the following items: The City of Sherwood to provide all fiber optic cable and cable tags. The awarded contractor to provide all labor and other materials for the installation of fiber optic cable. All materials must be American made and have proof of USA certificate of compliance. Approximately 12,948 of new underground conduit and fiber installation.
