In recent years, wireless carriers have co-located on the two towers that exist on Village-owned property at the Municipal Building (Village Hall) and Croton-Harmon Train Station. However, areas with limited or no service continue to exist within the Village boundaries. As more residents continue to exclusively use wireless service and discontinue landline service, these areas of limited or no service evolve from minor inconveniences to life-threatening. As a result, the Village is seeking a consultant with expertise in wireless infrastructure to advise the Village on potential options to improve wireless infrastructure. Additionally, the Village is seeking assistance on revamping the Telecommunications local law within the Village Code, which has not been updated in 25 years.
