Site work for a road / highway in Sterling, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials and equipment to upgrade River Ridge Road. Work includes, but is not limited to, roadbed widening, subgrade modification, embankment construction, drainage, ditching and clearing. The completed driveway will be measured for payment the lump sum. This unit price payment includes all work materials necessary to construct the driveway according to the plans, including, but not limited to, clearing, grubbing, excavations, geotextile and backfill. Kenai Peninsula Borough amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid, shall accompany each bid as evidence of good faith, a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the Bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required. All Bidder's checks or bid bonds will be retained until the successful bidder has entered into a satisfactory contract and furnished bonds, as required. Bidders who are bidding online may utilize the electronic bid bond option through electronically. The successful Bidder shall furnish the Owner a Performance and Payment bond in the full amount of the Agreement and shall maintain the Bond in force during the continuance of the Agreement Work shall commence upon receipt of Notice to Proceed. All work must be substantially complete within forty-five (45) days of each respective Notice to Proceed. Substantial Completion 140 days from NTP Question Deadline: 5/26/23 at 5:00 PM
