Renovation of an educational facility in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,320-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
1) This project consists of: Campus Center & Dining Commons Courtyard Improvements. a) See attached plans and specifications b) Clean up During Construction and after Completion. c) There is an owner Allowance (if applicable) B. WORK SEQUENCE: 1. The Work will be conducted in one phase to provide the least possible interference to the activities of the Owners personnel and to permit an orderly transfer of personnel and equipment to the new facilities. This project will include but not limited to: Minor concrete work, steel fencing with foundation, gate and hardware, signage, electrical conduits and boxes in concrete. The following notice is given as required by Labor Code Section 1771.5(b)(1): CONTRACTOR and any subcontractors are required to review and comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter I, beginning with Section 1720, as more fully discussed in the Contract Documents. These sections contain specific requirements concerning, for example, determination and payment of prevailing wages, retention, inspection, and auditing payroll records, use of apprentices, payment of overtime compensation, securing workers' compensation insurance, and various criminal penalties or fines which may be imposed for violations of the requirements of the chapter. Submission of a bid constitutes CONTRACTORS's representation that CONTRACTOR has thoroughly reviewed these requirements. In order to perform the work required by this contract, CONTRACTOR must possess the following type of license/certification issued by the State of California: Class B. The Board of Trustees of the Kern Community College District reserves the right to reject all bids and/or waive any irregularities in a bid.
