Renovation of a military facility in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Southwest Building Roof Rehabilitation Project: Project includes power washing, priming, joint sealing, reinforcing existing seams and base coating existing metal of approximately 7,280 SF of steel roofing on the south west Public Works building located at 1700 N 4th Ave W, Newton, Iowa. Performance and Payment Bond Required. The contractor who is awarded the contract to perform the work shall be required to provide a performance and payment bond, in the form provided by the City, to secure the performance and timely completion of the work and to secure the payment of subcontractors and suppliers, as required by Section 573.2 of the Code. The Quoting Contractor hereby acknowledges that the City of Newton (hereinafter City) reserves the right to: 1. Reject any, or all, competitive quotations. Award of the contract, if any, shall be made to be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Make such alterations in the contract documents or in the proposal quantities as it determines necessary in accordance with the contract documents after execution of the contract. Such alterations shall not be considered a waiver of any conditions of the contract documents, and shall not invalidate any of the provisions thereof.
