NWMC Contingency List (38.56 points) - This project consists of reconstructing Spring South Road from Wise Road to Irving Park Road. Spring South Road is a residential collector roadway with an existing traffic signal at the north and south limits of the project. Wise Road signal is under the jurisdiction of Cook County, Irving Park signal is under the jurisdiction of IDOT. This section will be approximately 0.4 miles in length. A bike path exists on the west side of the road. A condition assessment will be evaluated on the bike path. Additionally, the south half of the roadway is under the jurisdiction of Schaumburg Township. The village will look to enter into a joint partnership with the Township for these improvements. As of May 23 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. It is included in the Village of Schaumburg's Fiscal Year 2024-2028 and funding for construction is allotted for FY 26/27. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
