Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Schaumburg, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The two unleaded underground storage tanks (UST) and one diesel UST are all over 30 years old and the discussion for potential replacements is due. The two unleaded UST's each have a 10,000 gallon capacity (built 1986 & 1990), while the diesel UST has a 20,000 gallon capacity (built 1990) for fuel. With alternative fuel vehicles, such as electric vehicles becoming more readily available, we have the possibility of replacing just one of the two 10,000 gallon tanks and having that one tank support all of the unleaded nozzles at the fuel island in the future. it is advisable to replace the diesel UST at the same time. As of May 22, 2023, this project is included in the Village of Schaumburg's Fiscal Year 2024-2028 and funding for construction is allotted for FY 27/28. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
