The City of Fremont proposes to install 5 outdoor warning sirens. The sirens would be mounted on new 40 Steel poles with battery backup and remote activation capability to control the sirens. The sirens would be mounted at strategic locations throughout the city to address warning deficits in newly developed areas. These locations provide a maximum outdoor warning to those areas of the community where outdoor activities are common while minimizing the cost of installation. The city currently has twelve (12) warning sirens on the system that are remotely activated from the Fremont/Dodge County 911 Communication Center. The proposed five (5) will be added to this same system. See appendix for map showing current sirens and the location of the proposed sirens. The 12th siren is not located on this map. That siren is located at a location several miles south of Fremont. At that time for all materials, labor, installation, and testing necessary to complete the installation of five warning sirens for the City of Fremont.
