The Project consists of improving the Ontario Water Treatment Plant (WTP) by adding a new pre-engineered package water treatment plant (3rd Trident train), installing associated pipe connections, providing miscellaneous metal fabrications, performing miscellaneous building modifications to facilitate installation of the new treatment unit, addition of a new chemical feed pump, addition of a new louver, relocation of an overhead gas heater, modifications/extension to an overhead monorail system, installation of a new below ground concrete vault for new valves/flowmeter, associated yard piping work and connections to existing utilities, along with associated process instrumentation and electrical work. SCADA integration required by this project shall be furnished by the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible to schedule and coordinate the SCADA integration with the Owner for system startup and inspection. The proposed pre-engineered water treatment unit and miscellaneous control valves and appurtenances have been pre-purchased by the Owner. The pre-purchase package shall be delivered to a location owned by the City of Ontario. The Contractor shall include provisions to receive such package, transport it within the construction site if necessary, and install the unit and associated work per contract documents. Any materials and services not covered/included by the pre-purchased package, shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide, furnish and install. The existing WTP has two (2) pre-existing Trident Units (pre-engineered water treatment plants) already in service that are to remain in service during the course of this project.
