Pursuant to A.R.S. 41-2579, the Arizona Department of Administration, General Services Division (the State), in cooperation with ARIZONA STATE PARKS AND TRAILS (ASPT), is seeking to establish multiple Design Professional Service Contracts for On-Call Architectural Services. The State is requesting that qualified firms submit their Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to provide design and construction administration services, including preliminary budget estimates, programming, site planning, schematic design, design development, contract documents and contract administration. The State proposes to retain not more than ten (10) highly qualified, capable firm(s) to act as the Architect during the planning of projects for a firm fixed price. The firm(s) who participate(s) in this Request For Qualifications (RFQu) process are referred to as "Offerors" or "Architects" throughout the solicitation documents. The focus of the work will be assisting ASPT with architectural needs for managing and conserving Arizona's natural, cultural and recreational resources. The State reserves the right to negotiate with one or more parties and is not obligated to enter into any contract with any respondent on any terms or conditions. The designs resulting from this solicitation may be used in future projects of similar scope PRE-SUBMITTAL MEETING: The State will NOT conduct a pre-submittal meeting Principle Architect Licensed Architect/Project Principle in charge, oversees QA/QC process; establishes design standards and oversees design department/firm, ultimate decision maker for the firm. Minimal anticipated billable project hours. Project Manager Administers and supports programming, design and construction document preparation; specifications; coordinates with clients and consultants, manages projects. Under the supervision of the firm principal. Coordinates all project efforts in order to ensure effective execution, prepare strategic plans and serves as client liaison. Actively manages client budgets, schedules and manages project communications and documentation, office administrative tasks and project team assignments. Registered Design Architect Licensed Architect; minimum 6 years experience; performs planning, programming, design and construction document preparation; writes specifications; prepares presentation and design drawings in both sketch and computer modeling formats. Expertise and knowledge of historic preservation project efforts including coordination and Arizona State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Expertise and knowledge of master planning project efforts including coordination with planning standards, governmental agencies. Scope ranges from land area planning to building programming Under the supervision of the firm Project Manager. Non-Registered Design Architects Has a degree in Architecture; performs planning, programming, design and construction document preparation; writes specifications. Under the supervision of the firm Project Manager. Job Captain/Designer Minimum 5 years experience with expertice in Architectural practice, manages and corrdinates CADD techniscians assigned to the project; performs routine design work. Under the supervision of the firm Project Manager. Registered Interior Designer Registered Interior Designer; minimum 5 years experience; performs interior design activities including space planning, material selection, FF&E selection and procurement, furniture and equipment surveys. Supports the Architectural design team on projects with interior finishes. Draftsperson Performs routine drafting assignments. CAD specialist, drafting, design, prepares plan sheets and layouts, performs rendering as needed/requested. Construction Services Experience in vertical construction and construction document interpretation; performs site visits at key times of construction to assess contractors progress and interprets and enforces construction documents; checks shop drawings; reviews RFI, submittals, may provide full Construction Administration services upon request. Clerical Support office functions (supplies, filing, typing, and record keeping), provides administrative assistance and helps manage the day-to-day operations of the firm. Landscape Architect Licensed Landscape Architect; minimum five years experience; performs planning and design for landscape and site planning projects. Prepares planting plans and recommendations. Provides design input related to trails, exterior pavements, exterior signage and lighting, tree and existing planting consultation; tree and vegetation surveys. Cost Estimating 5 years experience in Professional probable construction estimate based on historic data, published data, or other industry standard acceptable practices. Revit Specialist/Grahpic Designer Modeling of building, provides 3D preparations, prepares exterior and interior color renderings, prepares presentation boards, assists clients with signage, promotional and presentation materials.
