Renovation of a mixed-use development in Johnsburg, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Replacement of original Bruner water conditioning system which consists of (2) existing control valve sets, resin tanks, and a shared brine tank with a new triple progressive system with individual brine tanks as specified herein. Demolition and removal of existing (2) Bruner conditioners, brine tank, and associated piping. o Install (3) new Water Right C43-0300-2 300,000 @15# salt per cu ft water conditioning units or equivalent. o New system to be triple progressive with electronic controls to monitor daily water usage, regeneration history, total water usage, soft water 24/7, no hard water by-pass, water meter to measure down to .5 gpm, main valve to be 2" in-let and out-let. o Meters on each tank (3) to be constructed of stainless steel. o Tanks for the water treatment and salt tanks to be constructed of non-corrosive materials. o Each unit (3, triple) shall have it's own salt tank. The salt tank shall have a platform, brine well, and safety shut-off. o Controls to be programmable, low voltage, owner will provide 125v outlet. o Drain shall go to the owner's floor drain. o Piping shall be copper type "L". o Each unit shall have unions and individual 2" ball valves for repair isolation. o Existing Bypass Valve to remain. o Capacity of each Unit shall be 300,000 @15# salt per cu ft. o Regeneration shall be downflow with soft water brine fill. o Piping to be 1st in, last out design. o Flow rate: 70 gallons per minute @ 15 psi drop per tank. o Resin shall be 10% cross-link to verified at install by owner. o Programmed progressive units to enable expansion of capacity to 150 gpm @ 15 psi drop or 200 gpm @ 25 psi drop during times of peak demand. o Installation shall be performed by an Illinois State licensed plumbing contractor. State 055 and 058 numbers required. o Work to include set-up, programming, and start-up of new water conditioning system. o Provide manuals for reference and 1-hour of on-site training for maintenance staff.
