In accordance with MGL c 149, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a firm for the purchase, demolition, and removal of an existing partition system and the installation of one 15' x 80' fold up Gym Divider curtain system, per specifications outlined in the written request for quotes, at the Horace Mann Middle School in the Town of Franklin. Eligible quotes must submit lead time on curtain delivery and be ready to install no later than August 10, 2023. Only quotes for curtain types listed in the written request for written quotes will be considered. Work must be completed by August 23, 2023. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the contract unit bid prices which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work 1. Demolish and remove existing 25' x 90' wooden folding partition system in its entirety. 2. Demolish and remove existingplywood casing surrounding structural beam and track in its entirety. 3. Furnish and install one (1) 25' x 80' fold-up Gym Divider curtain system. The following brands and models are being considered: - Draper, Inc. Fold-up Curtain - Performance Sports Systems, 4020 Fold-Up - Porter, 9067UN00 - Grandslam Safety, DC500 Vista Curtain 4. Gym Divider Height - the gym divider will be mounted on the track that the folding wall is currently on. The successful contractor is responsible for making that measurement after the job is awarded. 5. There will be a roofdrain repair project being work on concurrently in the gym. The Gym Divider contractor is to remove the folding wall in the gym. This demo work needs to be completed by Friday July 14th, 2023 making piping work for the RoofDrain project possible. It is essential for the contractors to work in harmony. 6. The contractor working on the wall divider project will provide floor protection in the gym for the scissor lift running on the floor with plywood to alleviate damage to the floor. The contractor will protect the floor during demolition to ensure that there is not damage to the wood floors. 7. Proposal includes lift rental and removal ofdemolished materials. 8. Site will be left broom clean. 9. Work will be performed during normal business hours. 10. All contractors who will be onsite must be of good moral character suitable to work in the vicinity ofschool age children. The contractor must complete a CORI application form for each employee who will work onsite.
