Site work and paving for a civil project in Franklin, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Project has a 10.4% combined Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation goals. The work to be done under this Contract consists of the construction of approximately 5,900 feet of roadway and drainage improvements on Grove Street from Tobacco Road to Kenwood Circle and the construction of approximately 1,700 feet of shared-use path along the west side of Grove Street from Tobacco Road to the SNETT trailhead, all within the Town of Franklin. Two additive alternates for extending the shared-use path an additional 4,000 feet to Kenwood Circle are also included. The work to be performed will include pavement milling and overlay, full depth pavement widening, a hot mix asphalt shared-use path, concrete pedestrian ramps, new striping, signing, culvert work, and drainage improvements, and other incidental work as required. In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39M, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a construction firm for the purposes of constructing approximately 5,900 ft. of roadway and drainage improvements on Grove St. from Tobacco Rd. to Kenwood Circle and the construction of approximately 1700 ft. of shared-use path along the west side of Grove St. from Tobacco Rd. to the SNETT trailhead, all within the Town of Franklin. Two additive alternates for extending the shared-use path an additional 4,000 ft. to Kenwood Circle are also included.
