Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
CURB AND SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF PUBLIC PROPERTY OR PRIVATE PROPERTY All bids, together with information to bidders and specifications, must be enclosed in the bid. As a guarantee of good faith, each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond for the amount of 10% of the proposal, payable to the Borough of Emmaus. The successful bidder will be required within ten (10) days after notification of the award, to execute a contract and furnish a bond to be approved by the Borough Solicitor, conditioned upon the true and faithful performance of the contract in the sum of 100% of the bid amount and additional bond in the sum of 100% of the bid amount guaranteeing the payment of all labor and materials. Neglect or failure to do so shall be considered as an abandonment of the proposal and the accompanying check shall be forfeited to the Borough. Otherwise, the check shall be returned upon execution of contract and bond. All bids must be made upon the blank forms hereto attached and must not be detached or altered. The prices shall be given both in figures and in writing. Any alterations or additions to the proposal shall be considered informal. Bids must be made on every item given on the proposal sheets. The successful bidder shall furnish the appropriate public liability, property damage and Workmen's Compensation Insurance as stated on page 6 and shall give proof of such and other adequate insurance satisfactory to the Borough of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, before the contract is awarded.
