Description of Project: The project Allentown Rd 16” Water Main Replacement (Contract BT/BR6625A- B19) is located in Fort Washington of Prince George’s County, Maryland. It is on Allentown Rd between Tucker Rd and Steeds Grant Way. Please see Project Map on the next page for details. The contract consists of the replacement of approximately 2,133 feet in same trench and 3,763 feet of relocation of 16-Inch DIP water main, 40 feet in same trench and 30 feet of relocation of 14- Inch DIP water main, 23 feet in same trench and 177 feet of relocation of 12-Inch DIP water main, 14 feet in same trench of 10-Inch DIP water main, 108 feet in same trench and 212 feet of relocation of 8-Inch DIP water main, 24 feet in same trench of 6-Inch DIP water main and 9 feet of same trench 4-Inch DIP water main and 3,117 feet of water house connection. These new water mains will serve Allentown Road and various streets in the Fort Washington area of Prince George’s County, Maryland. The contract also includes the relocation of a 12-Inch Flow Control Valve with a new 12-Inch Flow Control Valve/ Pressure Reducing Valve and vault structure, SCADA system equipment, conduits, and appurtenances. The new Flow Control Valve Vault will be located at the southern end of the project, between 9200 Allentown Road and Steeds Grant Way in the grassed area approximately 9 feet east of sidewalk.
