The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) by the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia (City) is to solicit sealed bids from interested vendors (Bidder) to provide annual water and sewer on-call construction services. The City's Department of Public Utilities (City) expects to need assistance from time-to-time to address deteriorated water and sewer pipes and will also incur the need to install new pipes. The work will include installing and rehabilitating water pipes and sewer pipes and the City makes no guarantee of the amount of work that will be authorized under this contract. Work will be performed at various locations throughout the City and the surrounding Rockingham County. The intent of this Invitation to Bid is to award to one or more City standard contract(s) for each of the work groups as described in Section 0100, Section 8. Bidders may submit bids for any one or combination of Group 1, Group 2 or Group 3. Separate bid forms are provided for each group. The City will provide the successful contractor with separate task orders as required, using EJCDC C-522 Contract for Construction of a Small Project, for work to be completed within the time period negotiated and work agreed upon by both parties. The City reserves the right to bid out any work separately from this contract.
