Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Sarnia, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Errnol Gray Sr. air monitoring station on Aamjiwnaang First Nation Reserve land has been critical to air monitoring in Sarnia since 2008. Since February 2018, contaminants measured at this station are posted in real-time on the public facing 'Clean Air Sarnia and Area' website established by the Ministry and industry, as a part of the Ministry's commitment to provide the public with timely, transparent access to air quality data in the Sarnia area. The existing air monitoring station building is nearing the end of its life and is currently too small to meet growing air quality monitoring needs. Therefore, a new, larger station building is required. This project is to prepare the Site for receiving the new station building (10' by 20') and then installing the new station building. The Site is the existing Errnol Gray Sr. Air Monitoring Station located at the Aamjiwnaang First Nation Heath Centre at 1300 Tashmoo Avenue, Sarnia, ON N7T 8E5. The Work consists of the provision of all construction and related services for the Site Preparation and Installation of a Replacement Air Monitoring Station on the Aamjiwnaang First Nation Territory.
