Renovation of a detention facility in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Lane County is accepting mandatory special qualifications-based submissions from experienced (Prime) General Contractors who wish to become eligible to bid on the Lane County Adult Corrections (LCAC) Facilities and Technology Upgrades Project in Eugene, Oregon. The LCAC Facility is planning to upgrade security electronics, detention equipment, fire alarm, mechanical, and electrical systems throughout the facility. The project construction documents include four (4) additive alternates focused on renovating areas within the East Annex, Booking and Segregation, Pretrial, and NonContact Visitation.Lane County anticipates awarding a contract and issuing Notice to Proceed in October 2023. Substantial Completion is anticipated in May 2025. As of January 22, 2024, per owner, the project was publicly bid and awarded. Construction is now in progress.
