his project is for the design and construction of a diversion structure in the Malibu Creek Watershed to divert water from the storm drain system to the sewer system as a Best Management Practice (BMP) project that will be part of the Watershed Management Plan (WMP) to remove pollutants from the watershed and to comply with requirements in the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit and the Malibu Creek Watershed Bacteria Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirement. Project is included in the City of Thousand Oaks' Fiscal Years 2023-2024/2024-2025 CIP Budget. Per the owner, as of June 21, 2023, they have not selected a general contractor and there is no anticipated construction date at this time. The owner states that they are waiting for initial studies to conclude that will determined the need for these diversions and then if needed, it will go out for bid. The owner did not disclosed if there is a design team on the project. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
