The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to select a firm to provide construction management services for a classroom building addition at West Melbourne Elementary School for Science located at 2255 Meadowlane Avenue, West Melbourne, Florida 32904, pursuant to Chapter 1013, Florida Statutes; the Florida Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act, Section 287.055 Florida Statutes; State Requirements for Educational Facilities; Rule 6A-2.0010, Florida Administrative Code; and School Board Rules. The construction management services shall include, but are not limited to the following: preconstruction services, coordination with the design team, subcontractor bidding, development of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), determining owner direct purchases, scheduling and coordination with District staff, contracting with all subcontractors, coordinating scheduling of the work among subcontractors and with The City of West Melbourne and utility providers, supervision of the work, quality control, budget management, post-construction services, commissioning support and working closely with the architect of record/design team and the District on the project. The District will provide permitting, building code and fire inspection support services.
