Demolition of a single family residential building and a two family residential building All questions and requests for clarification or interpretation of the meaning of the IFB shall be in writing, addressed to jadams@norwoodma.gov by Thursday, July 6, 2022 at 12pm. The Town of Norwood is seeking sealed bids for demolition of two residential houses. A two-story multifamily house located at 1271 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062 and a one-story single family house 1293 Washington St., Norwood, MA 02062. The houses are both wooden construction. The buildings are considered structurally safe. The Work to be performed under this contract shall, in general, consist of the following: Demolition, removal, and disposal of all construction both above and below grade. The Town has identified asbestos containing areas and abatement will take place on June 30, 2023. Maintain the site and surrounding areas, including public street and sidewalks, in a secure and safe condition at all times. Disconnecting, sealing/capping in place site utilities that cannot be removed. Removal of all debris and debris piles located around the property. Filling voids, grading and finishing the site with application of a minimum 12 inches of processed gravel.
