Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Marengo, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,500-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
This public improvement consists of the construction of a standalone 7500 square foot, single story, preengineered metal building located just north of Court Avenue in Marengo. The pre-engineered building will have poured in place concrete foundations and slab. Approximately 2/3 of the building will have radiant tube heating while the remainder will be unconditioned. These two sections of the building will be separated with a 2 hour fire barrier wall. There will be a small office and restroom area. Work associated with this project will commence ON OR PRIOR TO August 21, 2023 and be substantially complete PRIOR TO February 23, 2024 The estimated cost of construction for this project is $1,100,000 USD without alternates. Prices quoted shall be guaranteed for a period of SIXTY (60) days after date of the bid. It is intended that a contract be awarded to the lowest responsive,responsible bidder. The City of Marengo reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities in any bid or to make award in the best interest of the City.
