This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Salem, Virginia. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Soliciting qualified contractors for the repair and preventative maintenance services on Automated Brine Makers and all associated equipment and storage tanks on an as-needed time and materials basis, to facilities owned or operated by VDOT in the Salem District. Units currently include Cargill units and Henderson Brine Extreme units; additional brands may be added as new units are installed. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Shonda Fowler at shonda.fowler@vdot.virginia.gov . The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions by 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2023. The form may be emailed to prevailingwage@doli.virginia.gov, faxed to 804-371-6524, or mailed to Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, 600 East Main St., Suite 207, Richmond, VA, 23219, Attn: Prevailing Wage. The provisions of laws requiring the payment of a prevailing minimum wage rate are incorporated in and expressly made a part of this Contract. The Contractor and the Contractor's subcontractors shall pay wages, salaries, benefits, and other remuneration to any mechanic, laborer, or worker employed, retained, or otherwise hired to perform services in connection with the Contract at a rate at least equal to the prevailing wage rates determined by the Virginia Commissioner of Labor and Industry for work to be performed under this Contract, as outlined in Attachment F. The wage determination establishes the rates that must be paid for the entire term of the Contract. The purchasing agency reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. In the event the initial contract period is for more than 12 months, the resulting contract may also be terminated by the contractor, without penalty, after the initial 12 months of the contract period upon 60 days written notice to the other party. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation.
