Site work and paving for a civil project in Seward, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The City of Seward ("City") is seeking bids for a contract to construct water distribution mains, water valves, fire hydrants, water services, sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer manholes, and sewer services. This work is bounded by Sixth Avenue, Ballaine Boulevard, Madison Street and Jefferson Street. Work includes replacing asphalt on Ballaine Boulevard and restoring the roadway embankment and drainage features. All questions relating to technical matters, bid procedures or other aspects of the project should be directed to the following: Doug Schoessler by e-mail: doug@cityofseward.net. All questions must be received no later than 2:30pm on June 15, 2023. The contract shall be let by the Seward City Council to the lowest qualified responsive and responsible bidder. The selection of the qualified bidder will be at the sole discretion of the City of Seward, and the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or not to award a contract if deemed in the best interest of the City. This solicitation does not commit the City of Seward to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the bid or to award any contract.
