The work includes replacement of approximately 3,524 L.F. of 8" diameter zinc-coated ductile iron water lines and appurtenances. The existing water lines shall remain in service until the new lines are installed and satisfactorily tested. Monroeville Municipal Authority will furnish all water line and service line materials and appurtenances. All water services will be reconnected and disturbed surfaces restored. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record at Bankson Engineers, Inc. as having obtained the Bidding Documents. Bids will be accepted only from Bidders who have obtained official sets of Bidding Documents from Bankson Engineers, Inc. and who are on Bankson Engineers, Inc.'s list of planholders. The Bid Proposals must be a paper copy, with an original signature, submitted in an envelope along with the original bid security, all as described in the Information for Bidders. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bidder's bond in favor of Monroeville Municipal Authority in the amount often percent (10%) of the proposal. This project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Workers must be paid not less than the prevailing minimum wages as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, as shown on the applicable schedule. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
