This is an Request for Information to conduct research and solicit information from firms with experience in escalator rehabilitation. SFMTA’s anticipates using the information gathered from the RFI to develop: A. A scope of services B. Performance requirements, such as scheduling, lead times, etc. - Please submit your responses via e-mail to Mr. Allan Andaya no later than 3:00 p.m. on June 14, 2023. SFMTA plans to rehabilitate four (4) indoor escalators at Embarcadero Station servicing the Muni Platform and Concourse Level. Embarcadero Station is a BART owned station and joint-operated by Muni and BART. Escalators will be demolished up to its truss and a new unit will be installed with up-to-date safety codes and standards. Escalators are situated side by side at two areas within the station. Escalators will be updated and included in the Agency's LiftNet monitoring system for reporting and status updates. Stainless steel gates will be installed at each landing (upper and lower), as a barrier when unit is out of service. SFMTA's intention in releasing this RFI for Embarcadero Escalator Rehabilitation is to conduct research and solicit information from firms with experience in escalator rehabilitation.
