Renovation of a water / sewer project in Charlestown, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Upgrade of Northeast River Advanced WWTP Ultra Violet (UV) disinfection system. This will replace the current UV system that is nearing the end of its useful life. This will include relocating the UV system to the membrane building which was designed to house the units at the time the ENR upgrade was completed. The new system will provide additional reliability and be more energy efficient than the current system This project is included in the city's fy 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of June 16, 2023, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
