Site work for a water / sewer project in Elkton, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project provides for the engineering, ROW, utility relocation, and construction to upgrade 6800 linear feet of existing 8 inch sewer mains to 15 inch sewer Interceptor along Route 40 from manhole 3324 to the Route 40 Pump Station. The smaller pipe section is a choke point that will restrict development in Elkton West and Marley Road areas unless upgraded. This project construction timing will be triggered by the new development in the Mill Run Pumo Station service area and increases to the Marley Road flows. This project is included in the county’s fy 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of December 3, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
