This Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) project includes: A remodel and addition to the Cox Performing Arts Center. Project Scope includes the renovation of the existing 36,200 SF performing arts facility with a planned addition of approximately 15,500 SF. The scope of renovations in the existing building will be to increase the restroom count to current best practices, upgrade and reconfigure performer support spaces, upgrade acoustic treatments in the performance hall, and install balcony seating into the existing audience chamber. The addition will include new expanded lobby space, a ticket office and concessions area, a shared event and rehearsal space, and a new elevator with egress stair to service the balcony seating. The Contractor for the project must be a Utah licensed General Contractor. Association with other individuals or firms having appropriate professional expertise is acceptable. The State will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Fixed Contract Price Limit, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management as Owner on an AIA Document A310 – 2010 Bid Bond form, or equivalent, shall accompany the Contractor's Cost Proposal. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
