As of July 17, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July 17, 2023. Questions and/or requests for clarification shall be submitted in writing to Crystal Owens by email at Bids@CurrituckCountyNC.gov no later than 10:00 a.m. on June 6, 2023. All questions requiring additional information will be responded to in an addendum no later than 10:00 a.m. on June 12, 2023. All addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents. This is an informal bid. Bids will not be opened publicly and read aloud. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 30 days. All bidders must meet the licensing requirements under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes. Small Business Entities, Women Owned Businesses, Minority Owned Businesses, Veteran and Service-disabled Veteran Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and defects, as it may deem to be in its best interest. The County of Currituck, North Carolina ("the Owner") requests bids for installing four new airup stations and piping from the existing shed located at the Historic Corolla Park, Village Lane, Corolla, North Carolina. Due to the playground installation, the County desires to re-locate the air-up stations and reconfigure the traffic flow in the parking lot. The project consists of installing 4 new air-up stations and piping from the existing shed; installation of a new concrete handicap parking space; installation of removable bollards to divide the parking lot; removal of an asphalt driveway; installation of a new exit driveway; installation of concrete aprons at the gravel driveways; restriping of existing handicap parking space and re-location of wheel stops and signage; removal of existing air-up stations; associated grading, landscaping, signage as shown.
