Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Richmond, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and road / highway.

The project consists of the following major storm sewer and paving work items: Construction of an approximately 4800 LF reinforced concrete box storm sewer system ranging in size from 5' x 4' to 9' x 7' complete with inlets and manholes, widening of Clay Street to a 27-foot wide reinforced concrete roadway from Collins to Tenth Street, and from approximately 500 feet east of Tenth Street to Second Street, milling and asphalt overlay of Clay Street from just east of Tenth Street to approximately 500 feet east of Tenth Street, and widening of Second Street to a 27-foot wide reinforced concrete roadway from Clay Street to just south of Commerce Street, and construction of an 8-ft concrete shared use trail on the north side of Clay Street and a 5-ft sidewalk on the south side of Clay Street that continue along Second Street for the length of the project. The project will also include installation of ornamental light standards with associated power drops, underground conduit & pull boxes. The construction activities will require implementation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Traffic Control Plan as indicated on plans. Each BID shall be accompanied by a bid security, in the form of a Bid Bond or Cashiers Check, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds and Guaranty on the forms provided within 10 days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor . Bid securities will be returned to all but the three most qualified, responsible bidders within 7 days after opening of BIDS, and the latters bid securities will be returned after complete execution of the contract. In conformance with applicable statutes, the applicable prevailing wage scale in the locality in which the Work is to be performed have been ascertained, and such rates shall be the minimum paid for labor employed upon this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS and to waive technical defects in bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the BID, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject the BID.
