Three year contract for On Call Mechanical Services for the Town of Barnstable Water Pollution Control Division. The nature of the services provided will include on call mechanical contractor services for Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works, Water Pollution Control Division. The bid shall be for an hourly fixed rate for call out hours between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and a fixed rate for call out hours from 4:30 PM 7:00 AM and a fixed rate for Saturdays, Sundays and Legal Holidays. The bid must show the above rates for a Mechanical Contractor. The mechanical contractor must be properly licensed to operate any equipment that may be used during the course of work. The successful bidder must agree to around the clock coverage and shall provide the Water Pollution Control Supervisor with a telephone number and cell phone number where the contractor can be reached in an emergency. Due to the nature of possible emergencies related to WPC facilities, response time for emergency callouts shall be within 1 hour and regular (non-emergency) callouts within 48 hours. There will be no compensation for mileage or travel time. Billable hours shall commence upon arrival at the job site. Minimum rate shall be the same for all call back periods and must be noted as part of your bid. It is expected that the service vehicle used for all service trips will be well stocked with standard replacement parts and a complete set of standard tools and equipment so as to eliminate unnecessary time away from the job site Questions Due Date: Jun 8th 2023, 12:00 PM EDT The contract offered is for a three (3) year period starting 7/1/2023 through 6/30/2026. The estimated value is Not to Exceed of $45,000.00 per year for a total potential contract value of $135,000.00. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Price in the form of a bid bond or certified, treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. The Town of Barnstable reserves the right to reject any or all bids when it deems to be in the best interest of the Town. A contract award will be made by the Town of Barnstable within 30 days after the bid opening.
