Award amount is $536,813.13** WORK DESCRIPTION: The project generally consists of the resurfacing of Seaview Avenue and Mariner Place as well as concrete and drainage improvements if and where ordered. Approximate construction quantities in this project include 12,000 SY of HMA Milling, 3,250 TN of HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course and other associated work. USE OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents are available solely for the purpose of obtaining Bids and not to confer a license or grant for any other purpose. PRE-BID MEETING: None BID GUARANTEE: Bid Guarantee is required in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount indicated in the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including the N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C.150 (Prevailing Wages), and P.L. 2004, C.57 P.L. 2009 C.315 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements). ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: During the performance of this contract the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. OWNER'S RIGHTS: The Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Township reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. BID WITHDRAWAL: The Bidder shall comply with the statutory requirements set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 regarding bid withdrawal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Township of Brick, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work.
