Sealed bids, subject to the conditions herein, will be received for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work associated with: Taxiway and Apron Lighting. Bid Forms, Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents are on file at the Blackstone Town Office, 100 West Elm Street, Blackstone, Virginia 23824 Bid Documents may also be obtained in electronic .pdf format, free of charge, through direct electronic transfer. Requests for bid documents in electronic format may be made by submitting an e-mail request to Carolyn Phillips (cphillips@tbiric.com). Bidders requesting electronic format bid documents must provide a contact name, name of firm they represent with mailing address, and an e-mail address for receipt of electronic files. Companies requesting electronic transfer will receive an e-mail link for direct downloading from Talbert & Brights Secure Folder System. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, a deposit of cash or by a certified check payable to the Town of Blackstone and drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Virginia, for an amount equal to 5% of the total base bid, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the required Contract will be executed and the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond furnished within ten (10) days after receipt of written notice of formal award of Contract. It is the intent of the Town of Blackstone to award the entire project, however, the award of this contract is contingent upon the availability of local and state funds. The Town of Blackstone reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
