Site work and new construction of a military facility in Blackstone, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,874-square-foot, one-story above grade military facility; and for site work for a military facility.

The project is generally described as a new (1) one-story 4,874 square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The facility will include a reception / waiting area, an open office area, enclosed offices, conference room, break room, and storage rooms, but will also include a unisex single-occupancy toilet, a custodial closet, male and female latrines with showers, and mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications rooms and systems. The building foundation will be concrete spread footings on compacted soil, and the floor will be a concrete slab on grade. The exterior enclosure for the building will be a pre-engineered metal building consisting of structural steel frame, steel girts and purlins, concealed fastener insulated metal wall panels, standing seam metal roof with R13+R13 continuous insulation. Exterior windows and entrance systems will have aluminum frames and insulating laminated glazing. A Bid Bond is required. No other forms of security, including certified checks, will be accepted. A Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Performance Bond (DGS-30-084, form CO-10) and a Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond (DGS-30-088, form CO-10.1) WILL be required regardless of the bid amount. Anyone arriving to the pre-bid conference late will not be allowed to enter the meeting nor sign the attendee list. This will be the only time available for prospective bidders to view the project site. Subcontractors, suppliers, and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference.
