Site work and paving for a road / highway in Ashland, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This work consists of an application of asphaltic emulsion followed with an application of graded aggregate surfacing material. The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, traffic control devices, and materials to construct a single-layer aggregate surface treatment over an existing asphaltic concrete pavement and/or a double-layer of newly upgraded aggregate surfaces. The polymer modified emulsified asphalt seal coat shall be constructed in accordance with these specifications and in conformity to the lines, grades, thickness and cross sections shown on the plans, or established by the City. A double seal coat application shall involve a thorough sweeping of the pavement after the first application has cured followed by a second application in accordance to the specifications. Design Aggregate and Binder Application Rates. The McLeod mix design method shall be used and all computations (target stockpile gradation and application rates of and cover aggregate) shall be submitted to the City for review with the submittal of the bid. The mix design shall include the material sources intended for use on the project and shall be submitted with the bid. Contractor shall agree to allow a deduction of two hundred dollars and no cents ($200.00) per calendar day from final payment as liquidated damages for each day that completion is delayed beyond said completion date established. Questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 30th, 2023. the right is reserved by the City, to reject any and all bids and it is agreed that the bids may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days from the specified time for receiving bids. The contractor’s bond shall include such provisions as will guarantee the faithful performance of the prevailing hourly wage rate as provided by the contract. If bidder declares exemption from Prevailing Wage requirements, provide documentation with bid response. The following bonds will be required for this contract. Each bond shall be in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. -Bid Bond -Performance Bond -Labor & Material Payment Bond
