Renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
East Lunchroom/ Playroom floor (Making opening in the slab for entry of mechanical equipment to the cellar, hoisting down new mechanical equipment to the cellar, closing the opening, installation of induction loop grid underneath new floor and installation of new floor) shall be performed during the summer only so that the cafeteria be ready for school re-occupancy by end of that summer. The Lunchroom/Playroom must remain in use throughout the school year 1. Work within this phase includes, but is not limited to, the installation of the new boilers, climate control, ventilation systems, new gas service, and all life safety systems. This phase cannot be declared complete without the approval and sign off from the NYC Department of Buildings for all boilers installed under this project. 2. Completion of work indicated in Phase I shall be completed within (540) Continuous Calendar Days (CCDs) from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date. Additional Liquidated Damages shall be assessed in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000) per continuous calendar day if the contractor does not meet Phase I completion as indicated above. 3. The contractor shall provide adequate manpower, including overtime and/or premium time as required to complete the work. No additional compensation will be given for base contract work that requires the contractor to work on overtime and/or premium time. Range $4000001-Above Liquidated Damages: Three Thousand ($3,000) Dollars per Continuous Calendar Day A Bid Bond along with its Power Attorney prepared on the form attached to the Construction Contract as Appendix C or a Certified Check of the Bidder for five (5%) percent Pursuant to the SCA's authorizing legislation, contracts will only be awarded to contractors prequalified by the SCA. If the Bidder is not prequalified at the time of the bid opening its bid will not be accepted
