Renovation of an educational facility in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This section of Work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, services and equipment necessary to construct a new vestibule at the existing entrance (facing bus terminal) to the Student Union Building (SUB) located at the University of Victoria Campus. The work also includes upgrade of the existing door with power operated controls. General scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: .1 Limited demolition and disposal of interior wall and ceiling finishes to expose structure below. .2 Construction of a new interior aluminum framed entrance and glazing. .3 Replacement of controls on the existing exterior door to create an accessible entrance. .4 Required electrical and other related work to supply power to the existing exterior door. .5 Delegated Design: have the aluminum storefront system including required support/attachment to the existing building structure designed by a qualified professional engineer, using applicable performance requirements and design criteria. Submit sealed shop drawings for review and approval to the Consultant. Documents can be obtained from https://uvic.bonfirehub.ca/portal Award is subject to final approval.
