This line item in the CIP involves various projects to enhance and improve public facilities in downtown Wentzville. This area generally includes along and around Pearce Avenue, Allen Street, Main Street, and East Pitman Avenue. Recent projects include the reconstruction of Allen Street between Blumhoff Avenue and Locust Street and intersection improvements at W. Pearce and Meyer Road. Projects may include pavement and sidewalk reconstruction along Main Street and the extension of Mar Le Drive with railroad underpass to intersect with West Pearce at Patricia. These projects may be eligible for partial CMAQ, State Cost Share, and/or County Road Board funding. The project in FY2023-FY2024 will focus on the rehabilitation of Main Street between the Junction and Church Street. This project will involve roadway, stormwater, and pedestrian streetscape improvements to Main Street. As of October 2025, the project is in design. Contractor bidding is expected to commence in 2026, with construction to follow in 2027.
