*Award subject to final approval Reference number : 1733063 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-06-26 Université du Québec à Montréal hereinafter referred to as the Owner, having its head office at 1430 Saint-Denis Street, H2X 3J8, Montréal, Québec, is requesting tenders for the modernization of the electrical equipment of three (3) elevators in Pavilion N (Paul-Guérin-Lajoie), namely N-01, N-02 and N-03 as well as the three (3) elevators in Pavilion W (Thérèse-Casgrain), namely W-01-W-02 and W-03. This includes, but is not limited to: Demolition of existing equipment The supply, installation and connection of new electrical components for the new elevators. Temporary power supply work on elevator equipment (some elevators must be kept in service during the work). Modernization of lighting and electrical connection of air conditioning equipment in elevator mechanics rooms. The electrical contractor will be subordinate to the elevator mechanic contractor who will act as prime contractor. The work will be carried out according to the following constraints: The work will have to be carried out in parallel for each of pavilions N and W, while only one lift at a time will be stopped during the said modernization work; Work on lifts W3 and N1 cannot be carried out at the same time. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and its reinstallation. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. Similarly, the outdoor courtyard, parking, access, etc., will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor must ensure that users have access to the premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless environment. This includes all fit-out work, demolition, protection, patching and other work required to complete the Work, and all related work such as site development and clean-up, temporary protection work, repairs and modifications to existing interior fit-out work. All grouting, repair and drilling work required for the present work is included. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
