The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the turnkey construction of three (3) detached single family units (two 3-bedroom, and one 4- bedroom) in Cherokee County. The 3-bedroom home has a garage; the 4-bedroom home utilizes the garage space as an additional bedroom or bonus room but has no garage. The contractor will be responsible for clearing the site and all site work. The septic/sewer will be submitted as a separate bid. Interested parties are to provide bids to furnish all necessary labor, quality control, licenses, material, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, insurance and supervision to complete the entire project and to perform the work required thereof within the time specified after receipt of "Notice to Proceed". The entire project must be fully completed within 180 consecutive calendar days or $500.00 per working day will be charged to the contractor for each day that work continues beyond the contract end date. Contract extensions will only be allowed under extenuating circumstances. The Scope of Work and Specifications are available in the bid packet, along with all information and all necessary form documents. A bid bond or cashier's check equal to five (5%) of total bid must be included with the bid submittal. Bid will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive/responsible bidder. HACN reserves the right to evaluate each individual unit bid and award per unit if needed. The subsequent contract must be fully executed within (10) ten days of award or the bid will become null and void, and the next lowest most responsive/responsible bid will be considered. Contract award will be subject to the availability of funds.
