Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION; The project consists of the removal of the park’s existing basketball court and construction of two full size basketball courts on a concrete pad, with court lighting and ADA-compliant grades throughout. The court’s existing retaining walls will be removed and replaced with new, modular block retaining walls, featuring stepped, seat wall. The project will also include the construction of an ADA-accessible trail system with concrete sidewalk and areas for park benches and trash bins. All work must reach completion on or before October 10th, 2025, and final project completion by October 17th, 2025. Work is allowed on weekends with the exception of Federal holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day). Please provide alternate completion dates and bids, if needed. Bidding Instructions & Security: A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Benton Harbor will be required with each bid as security for the proper execution of the contract. A 100% Labor, Material, and Performance Bond will be required of successful bidder. Technical questions must be submitted via email to: rmcnamara@abonmarche.com and shall be entitled “Hall Park Restoration Phase I - RFI.” All questions shall be submitted on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14th, 2025.
