Reference Number 0000249751 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/06/26 12:00:00 PM EDT The purpose of this high-performance, accessible, and adaptable treadmill is to accommodate individuals with higher-weights, larger bodies, and a broad range of physical and sensory disabilities. The equipment will be used for a range of movement-based exercise study designs. One high-performance treadmill is required to accommodates individuals up to 600 lbs, and includes several safety and accommodating options, such as an adjustable handrail, a safety-harness with fall-stop prevention, and unweighing system which allows for precise adjustment of body weight to optimize adaptability and access. The treadmill also needs a running surface that is more shock absorbing than conventional treadmills, operating at a range of speeds (starting as low as 0.1 mph) to accommodate all gait abilities, to be equipped with incremental incline and decline features.
