Update:A ten-foot-wide asphalt trail is proposed to be constructed along Ellis Ditch beginning at 10th Drive SE and continuing across flood property to 4th Avenue SE then south and east around the Johnson Pit toward Ellis & IJ Schools. The trail will also serve as an access point to these areas for ditch maintenance. Project is included in City of Austin Fiscal Year 2025-2029 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A ten-foot-wide asphalt trail is proposed to be constructed along Ellis Ditch beginning at 10th Drive SE and continuing across flood property to 4th Avenue SE then south and east around the Johnson Pit toward Ellis & IJ Schools. As of June 14, 2024, project is scheduled for construction in 2026 to be completed with other Ellis Ditch drainage improvements. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
