1.84 miles of drainage structure temporary lowering, milling around drainage structure covers, HMA cold milling, trenching, HMA widening, drainage structure cover adjust, HMA leveling and top courses, HMA approaches, and pavement markings on 64th Avenue from Byron Road to Chicago Drive in Zeeland Township. Each bid must be submitted on the form supplied by the Road Commission in a sealed envelope, plainly marked as to the ITEM being bid upon and the NAME OF THE BIDDER. The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and award the Contract in any manner to be in the best interest of the County of Ottawa. This project includes but is not limited to maintaining traffic throughout the project; temporarily lowering drainage structure castings; cold milling the existing HMA surface at a depth of 1.5 to 3 inches full width; trenching and widening along the edge of the existing HMA surface at a depth of 4 inches from milled surface at a width of 3 to 8 feet as directed by the Engineer; milling butt joints in asphalt intersection approaches as directed by the Engineer; placing a bond coat on the milled HMA surface at the rate of 0.05 to 0.15 gal per syd; placing HMA, 2EL widening at 440 lb/syd in trenches; placing a bond coat on the milled and widened HMA surfaces at the rate of 0.05 to 0.15 gal per syd; placing a 220 lb/syd HMA, 4EML leveling course full width; adjusting the drainage structure castings as directed by the Engineer; placing a 165 lb/syd HMA, 5EML top course full width, as directed by the Engineer. HMA intersection approaches and HMA driveway approaches listed in the project log to be paved at 165 lb/syd HMA, 5EML, as directed by the Engineer. Concrete driveway approaches listed in the project log are to be removed and paved at 330 lb/syd (2-lifts at 165 lb/syd HMA, 5EML), as directed by the Engineer; Gravel approaches listed in the project log are to be replaced in kind, as directed by the Engineer; place a 2 to 5 foot wide gravel shoulder as shown on the typical cross section; adjust mailboxes or replace mailbox posts, as directed by the Engineer; and place pavement markings as directed by the Engineer.
