Will generally include providing construction contract administration and inspection services on behalf of the City of Concord. Consultant shall assign a Resident Engineer ("RE"), California PE registration required, for the duration of the Project. The RE shall have relevant construction management experience. The RE will be the City's primary representative with the contractor and general public and the party responsible for administering the construction contract for the City. Will generally include providing material testing services on behalf of the City of Concord. If the construction contract is valued at over $750,000, the Consultant and SubConsultant who will be providing Inspection and Materials Testing Services will be bound by the Project Stabilization Agreement - PSA (see Section IV below). The Consultant is required to indicate whether or not they are willing to be bound by the PSA. The PSA will not apply to Engineering, Management, and other staff not performing "Covered Work". The subject project consists of, in general, the installation of fiber optic communications cable in conduit, pull boxes, fiber optic splicing, along Monument Boulevard, modifications of traffic signals including reflective traffic signal borders and battery backup system upgrades, and such other items or details that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, or Special Provisions to be performed, placed, constructed, or installed. The Engineer's Estimate for the project construction cost not including contingency is between $2,250,000 and $2,750,000 for the Base Bid Consultants who submit proposals shall demonstrate familiarity with the "Project Stabilization Agreement" requirements, plans and specifications attached.
