Forest Service Road Inspections - Kamloops Business Area The successful bidder will be responsible for Forest Service Road (FSR) Inspections within the Kamloops Business Area. BC Timber Sales (BCTS) has an obligation to inspect FSR's, that are BCTS responsibility, within a certain rotation depending on the risk rating of each road. This contract has a total of 2,260 kilo meters for inspection, 676 kilo meters in the Kamloops Region, 886 kilo meters in the Cascades Region (Merritt/Lillooet) and 698 kilo meters in the 100 Mile House Region, see Appendix 6 - Maps for reference. Refer to Schedule A - Services for the detailed list of inspection requirements. The parameters for these road inspections have changed since the last road inspection contract. This contract has a "Option to Renew" clause - refer to 'Condition of Tender - Section 25.01 for further information. Note that the km of road inspection will vary each year. Notice to the contractor will be given with the upcoming km's of road inspection prior to the renewal deadline. See the Schedule A Services for specific works required. All contract related questions must be submitted in writing ONLY to the following email address: Forests.KamloopsTimberSalesOffice@gov.bc.ca. Deadline for receiving questions is 4:00pm on July 11, 2023. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to electronically by 4:00pm on July 12, 2023. If your bid deposit is in the form of cash, money order, certified cheque or bank draft, you will not be able to e-bid. See allowable submission delivery method(s) above.
