The City is seeking a qualified professional team to provide design consulting services in the pursuit of permits and construction plans for the restoration. It is anticipated that services will include structural, electrical, architectural and irrigation design. As this was damaged during a declared disaster event, federal funding is being pursued by the City of Fort Myers for all phases of restoration. Services shall include design, permitting through both the City's building department and the City's Historic Preservation Committee, and support through the construction process. Other Details During Hurricane Ian on September 28, 2022, both Rachel at the Well and the associated entryway surround suffered significant damage. The City, with the assistance of FEMA funding, would like to contract with a design consultant to develop a restoration plan for the entryway surround. Restoration of Rachel at the Well will be under separate contract with a conservator.
