Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Aklavik, Northwest Territories. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Yellowknife wishes to replace the Safety Surface at the Fieldhouse Playground under the play equipment to be barrier free and meet all safety codes and best practices for playgrounds. The safety surface is intended to be barrier free and meet Canadian Playground Safety Institute standards for CAN/CSA Z614 Childrens Playground Equipment and Surfacing. The intention is for the replacement flooring to be to the highest level of accessibility and safety possible. The successful proponent must: 1. Carry out demolition, removal, disposal and replacement of the Fieldhouse Playground Safety Surface to the specifications listed above. 2. Take care of all required permits and plans. 3. Certified Playground Inspector to do Interim Inspections 4. Certified Playground Inspector to do final inspections. 5. Obtain and close out all City permits if required. 6. Final Clean of the site. 7. Ensure all Health and Safety and WSCC requirements are accounted for. 8.
